Your logs stay on your iPhone

Sessions, climbs, notes, photos, your name and your settings are saved on your iPhone only. Boulderist has no accounts and no server, so we never receive them.

Location

If you allow it, Boulderist uses your location while the app is open to center the map and find gyms and crags near you. It isn’t saved or sent to us.

Search and map data

When you search for a town, the search text goes to Apple Maps to find it. When you open an outdoor area, Boulderist downloads its boulder problems from OpenBeta (openbeta.io). Neither request includes your logs or who you are.

Camera and photos

Photos you take or choose are only used for the climbs you attach them to, and stay on your iPhone.

Purchases

Boulderist Pro is sold through the App Store. Apple handles payment, and we never see your payment details.

No ads, no tracking

Boulderist has no ads, no analytics and no tracking, and doesn’t share data with anyone.

Deleting your data

Erase all my logs in Profile removes your sessions, climbs, photos, notes and favorites. Deleting the app removes everything, including your name and settings.

Children

Boulderist doesn’t collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
